Dads Appreciating Down Syndrome
Started in the summer of 2002, this organization was founded by a group of fathers with the common link of a child with Down syndrome. Their mission is to assist and support the fathers and families of people with Down syndrome.

of Indiana Providing community-based tutoring services in reading & math for
children, adolescents and adults primarily in central Indiana, training in the

Indiana Down Syndrome
Foundation Indiana Down Syndrome Foundation's programs and services involve:
educational materials; telephone/e-mail resource; information packets for
families, physicians, educators, medical facilities and service providers;
monthly support group meetings for families; D.A.D.S. (Dads Appreciating Down
Syndrome), an organization of more than 250 fathers affected by Down
syndrome--the group has received national recognition for pioneering
involvement with Down syndrome; advocacy training; support of national research
efforts; and a web site that provides local and national information and links
to other helpful organizations.
Indiana Resource Center for Autism The Indiana Resource Center for Autism staff conduct outreach training and
consultations, engage in research, and develop and disseminate information
focused on building the capacity of local communities, organizations, agencies,
and families to support children and adults across the autism spectrum in
typical early intervention, school, community, work and home settings.
League for the
Blind & Disabled, Inc. The League for the Blind and Disabled, Inc. is a Center for Independent
Living in Fort Wayne, IN. It serves as a primary organizational advocate for
individuals with severe disabilities by assisting consumers in acquiring the
skills, knowledge and information needed to advocate for their own needs and
facilitate systems wide change.
Learning Disabilities Association of Indiana
The Learning Disabilities Association of Indiana is
a state affiliate of the Learning Disabilities
Association of America. LDA of Indiana is a
501(c)(3) non-profit, volunteer organization of
parents, educators, and other individuals who are
committed to promoting awareness, knowledge and
acceptance of individuals with learning disabilities
(LD) and associated disorders such as attention
deficit defifcit/hyperactivity disorders (AD/HD) by
encouraging early detection, appropriate
educational services, accommodations and
programs at all educational levels, vocational and
career opportunities, and by offering information,
advocacy training and support through hosting an
annual state conference, publishing our state
newsletter, and contacts across Indiana.
