Title/Description: "Understanding Article 7" - in conjunction with the 2010 Turner Syndrome Society and Indiana University School of Medicine conference. Do you really understand what happens during a case conference and why? Do you wish you knew how to get better services for your child? Understanding the IEP process is an important part of learning how to advocate for your child with special needs. This workshop is designed for parents of children in special education or that might need special education. Come and gain a working knowledge of special education laws, including your role in the development of an appropriate education program (IEP) and how to be an effective partner with the school team in the process. Workshop is offered to registered conference participants only. Presented by Mimi Huybers and Lesa Paddack, INSOURCE Regional Program Specialists.
